The Brief
FirstSight Scans runs a private ultrasound clinic offering pregnancy scans, and the brief was a genuine balancing act: the site had to feel medically credible enough to reassure expectant parents, but warm rather than clinical. A big part of the goal was practical, letting people browse packages, check availability and book directly, instead of tying up the clinic’s phone lines.
The Solution
We built the booking flow on WooCommerce, with secure payment built in, so parents can browse, scan packages and pricing and book online without a phone call. Because this is an emotionally significant purchase, every design decision – photography, colour palette, typography, tone of voice – was chosen specifically to reduce anxiety rather than just “look professional.”
The Result
The clinic now has a self-service booking system that reduces admin, and prospective parents get the reassurance and information they need before they commit.
